How important is the Bible to the student of Christian Science?

• Its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, declared that her revelation came through the Bible. In writing the textbook, she said “the Bible was her sole teacher”(S&H).

• She laid out the church services to contain more Bible reading than any other church that we know of, far more!

• The first Tenet of Christian Science reads: “We take the inspired word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal life.”

• She herself turned to the Bible each day for guidance, as a tool for getting a direct message from God.
